Mill Park Library

Mill Park Library, which opened in 2002, holds the distinction of being Victoria’s first library purpose built as a hybrid digital–print space. In 2019, the library underwent a significant transformation to enhance accessibility, comfort, and sustainability. The upgrade introduced gender neutral accessible toilets, a modern air conditioning system, energy efficient LED lighting, a refreshed deck and garden area, and a welcoming café space—creating an inviting and environmentally conscious hub for the community.
 
We offer a vibrant range of programs and resources for all ages, including after school activities and engaging Storytime sessions. Our extensive and continually growing collection includes local history titles and resources in Chinese, Greek, Italian, Hindi, and Punjabi, supporting the diverse needs of our community. The library also hosts a wide variety of events and social connection groups and provides regular technology help sessions to build digital confidence.
 
On Thursday nights, the library is open until 10pm. Enjoy tea and coffee, free Wi Fi, entertainment, and the chance to connect with fellow community members in a relaxed, welcoming environment.

Chancez Cafe is a vibrant social enterprise dedicated to creating life changing opportunities for people of all abilities. Through NDIS funded learning pathways, participants build confidence, develop practical hospitality and customer service skills, and prepare for future employment.
Located within Mill Park Library, the café operates as a much-loved local destination where participants gain real, hands-on experience in an authentic workplace environment. While serving the community, they also become an active part of it—growing their skills, independence, and sense of belonging.
