All our branches will be closed and the Mobile Library will be off the road on Thursday 25 April 2024.

Please note that on Extreme fire danger rating days, the Mobile Library may not be on the road.

First established in 1954, mobile libraries have become a popular service for Victorians who are unable to visit their local branch or don’t have a branch nearby.

With over 12,500 items in stock, our state-of-the-art mobile library offers an extraordinary range of books, DVDs, magazines, audiobooks, and large print publications, and is available for everyone to visit, collect and borrow.

We also offer internet access with free Wi-Fi, two computers, and a children’s area.

This Service is a Regional Initiative

This service is funded through Yarra Plenty Regional Library by the Banyule City Council, the Nillumbik Shire Council, and the City of Whittlesea for all local residents and Victorians to enjoy.
