YPRL COVID-19 Update: January 17 2022

Due to staff shortages linked to the recent increase in local COVID-19 cases, some of our branches will be closed and only offer contactless Click & Collect services until the situation improves.

From Tuesday 18 January, Whittlesea Library will move to Click and Collect. Services will be available Monday to Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

Diamond Valley Library will move to Click and Collect from Thursday 20 January. Services will be available Monday to Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Saturday from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM and Sunday from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM.

Thomastown Library continues to offer Click and Collect services Monday to Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, and Saturday from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

All other branches will remain open at this stage, but will close earlier, at 7:00 PM, Monday to Thursday. Please check the location page of your local branch for detailed opening hours.

Please be aware that further changes to opening hours may occur at short notice.

The Mobile Library remains off the road due to its scheduled summer closure.

The Hurstbridge Community Hub Click & Collect service and the Donnybrook Pop-up Hub will continue to operate from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday to Friday.

Our 24/7 return chutes remain open and you may continue to place holds on the collection.

Changes have also been made to some of our planned in-person programs and events. Please check your email for any cancellation notifications. YPRL continues to offer a range of online programming.

We will continue to offer our full eLibrary collection which can be accessed through our website and through the YPRL app. It includes eBooks, eAudio, magazines, films and much more.
