STEAM Resources: Bloxels

It used to be that if you wanted to make a video game you would need to know lots of complicated code or own some expensive computer software. Well, thanks to Bloxels, you can build a simple game very quickly with a Tablet and a few coloured blocks (or Blox, presumably). The concept is very simple; arrange different coloured Blox onto the Bloxels board to create characters, enemies, landscapes and textures, upload these physical creations into the game space on the app and you are up and running, playing a game of your own creation!

Bloxels promotes creative and technical thinking as kids translate what’s in their imagination into the 13 x 13 board, also allowing the development of collaborative skills as multiple people can work on the same game. Bloxels are suitable for ages 8 and up.
