Welcome to the Makers Market at Mill Park Library.

Thursday 2 May, 6.00pm—9.00pm, Mill Park Library

Support the work of local makers and browse through our many stalls for unique handmade gifts, homewares, stationery, clothing, artwork, jewellery, toys, educational items and live music with local acoustic artist Gianni Santalucia.

 Meet some of our stallholders:

Angela: Lumina Candles Melbourne

After losing her father in 2016, Greensborough candlemaker Angela would honour his memory by lighting a candle near his photo every day. This ritual proved to be costly which led her to make candles for personal use. She attended a candle-making course and in due course created Lumina Candles Melbourne (lumina meaning ‘light’ in Italian).

Angela produces a range of quality home fragrance items including soy wax candles, room sprays, and room diffusers. Customers can choose from 17 scents and a variety of beautiful glassware designs. The business even caters to those with allergies and sensitivities, with unscented candles available.

Lumina Candles Melbourne’s products are lovingly made to order and the full range of items can be viewed in the Online Shop and Instagram.

Anthony Chiodo: AC Pro Designs

Anthony started his small business to create affordable and personalised gifts.  His range includes inscribed wallets, purses, jewellery boxes, luggage tags, keyrings, drink bottles and mugs.

His products can be tailored to your interests and needs. This also includes customisable t-shirts. You can see Anthony’s work on his website: AC Pro Designs and Instagram.

Gurvinder: Mixed Media Artist

Gurvinder is a Mixed Media artist who creates a variety of artworks such as drawings, digital artworks, and wall hangings.

With her art, she hopes to raise awareness about the complex links that exist between mental health, cultural norms, and stigma towards LGBTQIA+ people in the South Asian community.

A trauma survivor herself, she creates art as an outlet of self-expression and therapy. She currently works as a peer worker, drawing on her own recovery process to help others.

Gurvinder started @Artsybrownlady on Instagram to connect and share positivity, optimism and drive change in her community. She also decided to create infographics that depicted the day-to-day lives of young South Asian migrants.
