Covid-19 Update: July restrictions are easing

YPRL Staff

27 July, 2021

As of 11.59 PM on Tuesday 27 July, restrictions in Victoria will ease. For details on the new restrictions in place, please visit the Coronavirus Victoria website.

Please wear a mask whenever you leave home, unless a medical exemption applies. Please get tested if you notice any symptoms, no matter how mild. If you visit any of our branches, it is mandatory that you check in using the QR code in place. Follow the rules and instructions provided by the Government, so we can keep the community protected, as we begin to open up again.

Changes to YPRL services

YPRL branches have reopened with their normal opening hours (except for Diamond Valley Library which remains closed for renovations). The Diamond Valley and Hurstbridge Hub Click & Collect services have also reopened. Our 24/7 return chutes remain open, however some in person programs and events have been cancelled at this time.

The Mobile Library will return to its regular schedule of stops and times from Wednesday 28 July offering Click & Collect services only. The Outreach vehicle will also return to its regular schedule of stops and times — where it is safe to do so — offering Click & Collect services only.

All branches will have a cap of 100 people (Rosanna is capped at 80 and Whittlesea is capped at 30), with spaces inside the library also having density caps.

All community rooms will be unavailable at this stage.

We continue offer our full eLibrary collection which includes eBooks, eAudio, and films. You may continue to place holds on the collection.

Thank you for your patience and understanding.
