Borrowing just got even easier!
The YPRL app has a feature you may not know about.
It is here to make it easier and faster for you to borrow from the library.
Are you rushing in to grab your click and collect holds? Are your kids playing in the childrens area and you can't leave to get to the self check out machine? Have you been studying or working and want to borrow as you pack up your things? Is there a line waiting to use the check out machine?
Now you can borrow items on the go using your phone from anywhere in the library.

Step 1
Maker sure you have the app downloaded to your phone.
To download the app, simply search for 'Yarra Plenty Regional Library' via the App Store or Google Play.
Log in with your library card, and you're ready to go!
Please note: The YPRL App will work with all i0S and Android smart phones, however, the Self-Checkout system will not function on some older devices or operating systems.
Step 2
Open app and press Self Service.
Step 3
Press Check out.
Step 4
Hold your phone over the RFID tag on your item.
The RFID tag is a white rectangle often found on the back of a book or inside the back cover.
Your phone will say 'Ready to Scan'.
Step 5
Check out items.
Follow prompts to scan multiple items and press finish when complete.
Note: some items may have been put on hold by another borrower. If this is the case you won't be able to borrow it so please take it to a library staff member.
