Yarra Plenty Regional Library (YPRL) is looking forward to welcoming hirers back into our library spaces. Hiring space in 2021 will look a little different from how it has been in the past. YPRL remains committed to providing a safe and enjoyable visit for all visitors whilst operating under State Government COVIDsafe guidelines.
With community recovery being a high priority for YPRL during 2021, we have created a community reactivation plan, which details how groups can use our spaces. The plan considers how YPRL will balance equity and equality of access to facilities, whilst ensuring a safe facility for employees, community members and service providers alike.
An expression of interest survey is now open for the hire of spaces at Ivanhoe Library and Cultural Hub, Thomastown Library, and Watsonia Library for the first half of the year from 8 February to 1 July 2021.
Groups interested are required to fill in the expression of interest survey online, which includes some questions to gain a better understanding of your event and how your organisation will assist our local community through pandemic recovery.
Your organisation will also be required to submit a COVIDsafe plan to YPRL which must consider any restrictions placed on your organisation's industry type. The Victorian Government has created a COVIDsafe plan template.
Yarra Plenty Regional Library sets all fees, charges and hire conditions. To aid community recovery YPRL will waive the Fees and Charges for YPRL Community meeting rooms from 8 February 2021 – 29 March 2021. To further support community recovery YPRL will offer a 50% reduced rate for YPRL Community meeting rooms from 30 March 2021 – 30 June 2021.
