While you were in lockdown, we had the builders in!
Come and have a look at our fantastic new space at Diamond Valley Library.
The first thing to wow you is our beautiful glass atrium. Light floods into the library now. There are comfy seats and coffee tables to relax and read in the sun.
Some Highlights...
A highlight is our new covered deck. It overlooks our community garden, and we have regular events around the themes of gardening, growing and sustainability. The deck has chairs and tables for relaxing at, or for lunch with the kids after they’ve worn themselves out on our playground.
We have a sparkly new children’s area with new seating. The star attraction for the kids is still our guinea pig, Oreo. We will have storytimes once a week through most of December and January and hope to begin our usual weekly programme in February. Keep an eye on the website for the starting date.
Work spaces
We have two semi-enclosed meeting pods with integrated tv, laptop and iPad projection that can be booked for presentations, meetings, or study (see picture at the bottom of blog). There is also a large meeting room available, at a charge, for regular hirers. Find out more about booking this venue.

And, of course, we still have all the fabulous things that we have always provided: best-sellers, classic and modern fiction and non-fiction, audio books, magazines, DVDs, all for both adults and children, and a collection of Chinese and Italian items. There is printing, photocopying, and scanning, free computers with internet access, free Wi-Fi, and a local history collection.
