Exam time for students is fast approaching!

Are you or your child looking for a great place to study, prepare and focus?

All our branches at Yarra Plenty Regional Library offer functional and quiet spaces, perfect for a student studying during the exam period.

Preparing for exams can make a big difference. Regular study helps you build knowledge, stay focused, reduce stress and walk into your exam feeling confident and prepared. Studying from a place away from the distractions of home or school can also be a lot more productive.

A number of our YPRL branches are conveniently located next to local train stations, making it easy for students to access our libraries. We also offer free WiFi, so students can conveniently study using their own devices.

Brain Breaks

While cramming for your exams it is important not to forget that your brain will need a break! Taking regular brain breaks can help you reset, recharge and return to your studies feeling refreshed and ready to focus.

YPRL has you covered with several planned and thought-out brain breaks offered across our branches:

  • Step away from your notes and work on a community puzzle

  • Play a board game on offer for borrowing at most branches

  • Grab a watering can and give the veggies a drink at Diamond Valley Library

  • Get some fresh air with a graphic novel. Comics are always helpful as a short, visual, non-school related break from your study, and are available in all branches

  • Catch up with current affairs with a flick through the day's newspaper or even complete the daily newspaper quiz and puzzles with a friend!

A few minutes away from the study can make a big difference to your productivity. So, study smarter, not just harder!
