Introducing...

Name: Adam

Branch: I am now at the Rosanna Pop-Up and Ivanhoe Library and Cultural Hub while the Rosanna branch is being re-built!

I Do Storytimes… every Friday morning at 10.30am at Bellfield Community Hub, which is a Family Storytime. There is a great Monday morning Preschool Storytime at Ivanhoe Library at 10.00AM which I will also occasionally be doing! I can also be seen occasionally reading on YPRL’s Facebook page.

After Storytime: On Fridays there is always a colour-in or craft activity to do after storytime and I also bring a tub of books for people to find something to take home and enjoy.

My Favourite Storytime Songs: So many classics to choose from! But ‘Rock-a-bye your bear’, ‘Der Glumph’ and ‘Dingle, dangle scarecrow’ are on high rotation for sure, along with the toughest choreography in Storytime - ‘One finger, one thumb’.

I have a Special Storytime friend: Froggy (in the picture with me) came to stay with me during lockdown and got up to some mischief, along with helping me film Storytimes at home.

One funny storytime I… once swallowed a fly while singing during Storytime! My mouth was wide open and it flew right in. Luckily another storyteller Lee was there to step in while I went and washed my mouth out. Yuck!

What are you looking forward to about doing storytimes at new locations? It is always great to go out and meet new people and visit some of the wonderful communities that the library doesn't normally reach, and hopefully to see some familiar faces as well!

I love when… I have a really engaged and enthusiastic crowd. I hope to see you join in Storytime soon!
