YPRL’s Maker Spaces present opportunities to create, connect, collaborate and learn in a fun and supported environment. Our Maker Spaces are equipped with specialist resources and equipment to facilitate hands-on learning and encourage creativity.
Our Maker Spaces enable community members to learn new skills and produce items of pieces of work. In some cases, our Maker Spaces present opportunities to play with technology that may not be readily accessible.
Some Maker Spaces have equipment that is available at any time during opening hours, while other Maker Space resources are accessed through specialised programs.
Maker Spaces aren’t only permanent physical spaces in the library but may include ‘pop-up’ activities, events, classes, courses, displays and specialised equipment relating to their unique theme.
