Artistic Connection Opportunities These School Holidays
School holidays are a wonderful opportunity to slow down, relax and indulge our creative selves – and these winter holidays are no exception at Yarra Plenty Regional Library. In fact, our community is in for a real treat: at various branches across our library service, artists will be in residence for workshops in different art practices. However, if you miss out on a booking (and they are very popular), don’t feel you will be missing out altogether – our artists are hanging out all day. Come and ask questions, talk about their art, and see them in action.
For example:
-
Brett Cardwell will be at Whittlesea Library on Thursday 4 July from 11am onwards.
He will be creating a mural! -
Gurvinder Kaur will be at Mernda Library on Saturday 6 July from 10am—4pm.
-
Marc McBride will be at Mill Park Library on Thursday 11 July from 10am—3pm.
-
Judith Rossell will be at Mernda Library on Saturday 13 July from 10am—4pm.
-
Jodi Wiley will be at Lalor Library on Tuesday 9 July from 10am—3pm.
-
Emmy Webbers will be at Ivanhoe on Sunday 14 July from 10am—3pm.
Want to go out ‘on the road’?
Join Annie Valentine at the Mobile Library on Wednesday 3 July and learn how to work with polymer clay. These pop-up workshops will be stopping by: St Andrews, Kangaroo Ground and Diamond Creek. Registrations are not necessary! So come along and be inspired!
