International Day of People with Disability (IDPWD) is on Tuesday 3 December.
This year, Yarra Plenty Regional Library is excited to launch a new project called Yarra Birrarung which invites people with disability to create art based on the theme Yarra Birrarung.
Their work will be displayed at Ivanhoe Library and Cultural Hub and other YPRL branches.
How to Participate
If you live, work or play in Banyule, Nillumbik or Whittlesea, you can submit written work, poetry, or visual art through the online form below.
Here’s how:
- Written work should be submitted as a PDF.
- Pictures, drawings, or photos should be sent as JPGs or PDFs.
- All submissions will be printed in a uniform format, scaled to fit.
- File size maximum: 10MG
- Hard copy submissions can also be dropped off to YPRL branches.
- One submission per person will be considered for display
- Submissions will be printed at either A4 or A3
Note:
- YPRL and Banyule City Council will assess each submission (submissions considered inappropriate will not be included)
- Your work will be printed and displayed for the purposes of the International Day of People with Disability day of celebration and branch displays
- Photos will be taken of the exhibition, for the purposes of promoting the project.
