Applications are currently closed and will reopen in June, to schedule placements for September, October, and November.
YPRL accepts Professional Placement requests from tertiary students who are enrolled in a Library and Information Studies course. These placements are offered on a on a case-by-case basis and generally take place over multiple weeks — and sometimes months — depending on the placement requirements.
Eligibility Requirements for Applicants
- You may be asked to attend an informal interview as part of the selection process;
- A placement is not confirmed until the appropriate course and insurance documentation has been provided to YPRL by the tertiary institution;
- We are unable to offer placements with less than 4 weeks’ notice. Please allow as much time as possible so we can organise your placement; and
- Students 18 years or older are required to provide a satisfactory Working with Children Check (Volunteer) and National Police Check. The cost of the Police Check is the student’s responsibility.
