Staff Review: Pig the Monster by Aaron Blabey

YPRL Staff

26 August, 2021

Pig the Pug is at it again but this time he is a monster, dressed up for a night of trick or treating for Halloween. This greedy pug has only one thing on his mind and that is to collect as many treats as he can. Watch out if you are stingy because he has some bad tricks up his sleeve. Luckily Trevor the Dachshund comes to the rescue again and teaches Pig the Monster a lesson or two!

Aaron Blabey has once again created a picture book that all children will enjoy reading. Many of you will be familiar with this famous pig who just can’t seem to stay out of trouble.

The illustrations paint a perfect picture of each of the characters and their special antics. Who can ever forget seeing Trevor, madly swinging Pig around in a whirl and a swirl, trying to save him after he greedily scoffed down blocks of chocolate?

This book is sure to keep any reader entertained and maybe even teach us all a lesson or two!

Pig the Monster is available to borrow at YPRL now.
