Tip 1: Go on a nature walk!

What animals can you see or hear? Spot the local plant and animal scenery while adventuring around town.  Or you can take part in our Whittlesea Trivia Trail on Tuesday 2 April at 10.30am to learn interesting facts about your suburb!

You can also borrow some of these books for more inspiration:

Tip 2: Try your hand at cardboard crafts...

What could you do with leftover boxes lying around at home? Why not try crafting? It’s a fun way to bond with your child while building their creativity skills. If you don’t have any boxes, don't feel shy about asking your local grocery stores for their extras. We would love to see pictures of your creations!

Tip 4: Offline Fun

Do you remember playing Monopoly? Uno? Or even Dungeons and Dragons? Board games are a great way to unplug from daily scrolling and constant online information. Most of our branches also have free board games available to play.

If you’re looking for a way to get into board games, these books can guide you to a brand-new hobby:

Tip 5: Dance!

Bust a move on the school holidays at our dance workshops! Try Indigenous Hip Hop or Contemporary Dance while learning about First Nations culture. Experience the joy and high energy of Bollywood Dance or join a Silent Disco!

Continue your dance journey after the workshops with these stories:

We hope you have a great school holiday and we look forward to seeing you at our events!
