Small Business Support: Networking Collection

YPRL Staff

14 June, 2022

Did you know that Yarra Plenty Regional Library Service has a variety of digital and physical resources to help you with growing and supporting your business?

In this instalment of Small Business Support, we’re exploring networking

No one can run a business on their own! You not only need customers but also people who can support and mentor you as your business grows. That’s what makes networking so important.

Finding these people and building a positive relationship with them that benefits both parties sounds hard (and a little like work!) but it doesn’t have to be. Networking can be fun, while also benefitting your business, and providing you with a list of contacts you can turn to or work with in future.

To help you get started on your networking journey, we've compiled our top picks from the YPRL collection.

Professional Networking by Dorie Clark [LinkedIn Learning]

In this course, former presidential campaign spokeswoman and self-professed introvert Dorie Clark demonstrates networking strategies that you can personalise to play to your strengths and connect with people you actually like.

Participate in the online course via LinkedIn Learning with your library membership.
