D&D and Community!

With the release of the award-winning Dungeons & Dragons game Baldur’s Gate 3, I feel the call for a nerdy community. I miss the clacking sound of dice, the shouts of excitement when I roll a natural 20, and even the feeling of having to do basic Maths.

After moving from the United States to Australia, I needed a way to reconnect with others, to feel like I belonged.  Dungeons & Dragons was a fantastic way to meet new people and make new friends. YPRL has a collection of physical books to borrow:

Now that you have the resources to play, time to grab some friends and roll!

Fear not brave travelers if you’re flying solo. The Ivanhoe Library branch runs a once-a-month Roleplaying Games group for ages 18+, this welcoming group will help you learn how to play Dungeons & Dragons.

Ivanhoe Library also hosts a Game Night Take Over on the last Friday of every month, with pizza, a wide variety and games, and yes you guessed it – Dungeons & Dragons!

Discover an amazing collection of games for all ages and stages, from Codenames, Ticket to Ride and Settlers of Catan, to Love Letter, Tikal, Azul, Monopoly, Kerplunk, and Snakes and Ladders at the monthly Libraries After Dark: Games After Dark event at Watsonia Library!
