Wurruck Yambo Weaving Workshop
Wednesday 3 April at Hurstbridge Community Hub, 10.30am—11.30am
First Nations artist Emmy Webbers will show us how to weave with traditional materials, using raffia, wool and a template to create your own bracelets, baskets and other pieces.
Emmy is a Gunai/Kurnai person and currently lives on Wurundjeri country. Emmy holds a Bachelor in Indigenous Studies and has a passion for culture and sharing it to create a safe space for understanding and learning for everyone.
Thursday 4 April at Diamond Valley Sports and Fitness Centre, 11.00am—12.00pm
Discover the power of Indigenous hip hop culture! Join in this active dance workshop with us as we celebrate the rich history and vibrant energy of this art form, giving voice to young Australians. We will explore the captivating dance behind the music and show our support for Aboriginal youth.

Thursday 4 April at Laurimar Community Activity Centre, 2.00pm—3.30pm
Kids will become authors and illustrators in this fun session with artist Phia Larsen. They'll have great fun creating a completely original 8-page book with the help of a magical assortment of coloured paper, glue and scissors. Phia Larsen will guide participants in how to create collage, build a story and publish on the spot. Everyone will take home their original book and 'published' copy to share with family and friends.

Join dance instructor Dipti from Bollydance Dipti in this fun Bollywood dance session for beginners. Learn some classic moves and experience the joy this high energy style brings.

Immerse yourself in the rhythm as the talented artists from Indigenous Outreach Projects deliver a captivating performance, followed by an interactive dance that fosters a sense of pride, respect, and cultural connection.

Join New York Times best-selling illustrator Marc McBride in an interactive illustration workshop.
Marc will show how he creates a character from one of his books, drawing inspiration from the audience, and encouraging kids to draw their own picture as well.

In this hilarious theatre show by Carp Productions, you'll meet Wizard Clumsy Pants, the worst wizard in the world. With one wave of his wand, he can cause abraca-CHAOS! You're invited to his hilarious, chaotic magic show.
