Geckos, turtles, lizards and mermaids!

Get creating and making at the library this summer with NGV Kids on Tour, inspired by The Gecko and the Mermaid:  Djerrkŋu Yunupiŋu and Her Sister exhibition.

Exploring stories, culture and language shared by award-winning artists Djerrkŋu Yunupiŋu and her sister Ms N. Yunupiŋu, activities, games and workshops are designed to foster connection, fun and creative thinking through making.

Activities include ocean-inspired drawing, diorama construction, game making, playing and learning Arnhem Land bird names in Yolŋu Matha (the language of Yolŋu people). There’s also paper jewellery making, fashion styling, digital photography and more!

Curious? Come along to create, play, learn, style and explore.

Workshops and activities are accessible to all children, young people and their families.

Attendance is free but registration is essential. For more information on locations and dates, please see below.
