Get your body moving!

Twist yourself playing Giant Twister or what about a Silent Disco Tour? Mernda Library is hosting two sessions! Both sessions will have you grooving through Mernda Town Centre with the amazing Guru Dudu who will provide the headphones, commentary and instructions as you explore the surrounds. 

Session one at 2.00pm is Taylor Swift themed and session two is at 2.35pm. 

Super fun and not to be missed! 

Dance!

We are so excited! Bollywood Dancing is coming on Monday 8 April. This workshop is happening at a new Mobile Library stop. You can even board the Mobile, explore, borrow and more! 

Join in the Nikki Visage Movement and discover the spirit of Aboriginal culture through dance. 

Our Indigenous Hip Hop workshops are a fabulous opportunity to try something new or enjoy the rhythm and movement! 

Indigenous Contemporary Dance 

Hip Hop not your thing? Or just want to try all the different dance styles, contemporary is a little slower but mesmerising.  

What about getting the creative juices flowing?

Local artist Jodi Wiley will guide you to making beautiful little boxes to store your treasures. There are two opportunities to try this activity! It’s happening on the Tuesday 2 April at Donnybrook and on Saturday 13 April at Mill Park Library. 

Oh, don’t forget the different cultural crafts. We have some great workshops to have a go and learn a new creative skills. The Weaving Workshops are led by Emmy Webbers – a talented local artist!  

And there is Hand Block Printing – South Asian cultural art form on Friday 12 April at our Donnybrook Hub location. 

Fantastic fantasy more their thing? 

Immersive worlds: Dungeons and Dragons, virtual reality, Nintendo. Or maybe you want to learn how to Draw Dragons and fantasy creatures with local artist Marc McBride?

Carp Productions is performing a hilarious theatre show featuring Wizard Clumsy Pants which will make you Crack Up with Laughter at Laurimer Community Activity Centre.
