The new Ivanhoe Library and Cultural Hub will open on Wednesday 10 March! Our Click & Collect service operating from the Hatch will cease from 3pm on Tuesday 9 March.

The Diamond Valley Library is now closed for renovations until mid-winter. We've opened a Click & Collect service from the nearby council office.

The Mobile Library will be off the road until 15 March due to a mechanical failure, in the meantime we'll be providing Click & Collect services at all stops in a van instead.

Library Lovers' Week

YPRL Staff

8 February, 2021

Here at YPRL, we love you more than an algorithm ever will…

We will be celebrating Library Lovers' Day all week from Sunday 14 February to Sunday 21 February. We’d love for you to take part, so read on to find out more!

Love Songs and Dedications

Want to let that special someone know that you really care? Dedicate a book to the ones you like the most! Love Songs & Dedications is a simple and cute way to recommend a book to your friend, family, co-worker, or fellow library user. You can even make your dedication online or in branch.

How does it work?
Visit us in branch and grab yourself a ‘Love Songs & Dedications’ template to fill out and share with your nearest and dearest. You can include who the book recommendation is for, why you’re recommending it, what the book is, and who it’s from.

If you’d prefer to make your dedication online, simply visit the YPRL Facebook page and leave your dedication there. For brownie points, include a link to the ‘song’ you’re recommending so it can easily be found and borrowed!

For example:

To Lefa, I think you need more creepiness in your life. I’m dedicating Such Small Hands by Andreas Barber. Love, Sarah. https://yprl.spydus.com/cgi-bin/spydus.exe/ENQ/WPAC/BIBENQ?SETLVL=&BRN=89440

Valentines Book Valet

If you’re the one looking for some book recommendations, then leave it to us! Fill out our book valet survey online, and one of our book valet team members will send you a personalised reading list, based on your interests.

We can’t wait to see the dedications rolling in!
