Covid-19 Update: June restrictions are easing

YPRL Staff

10 June, 2021

As of 11.59 PM on Thursday 10 June, restrictions in Victoria will ease. For details on the new restrictions in place, please visit the Coronavirus Victoria website.

Please wear a mask whenever you leave home, unless a medical exemption applies. Please get tested if you notice any symptoms, no matter how mild. If you visit any of our branches, it is mandatory that you check in using the QR code in place, please talk to one of our concierge. Follow the rules and instructions provided by the Government, so we can keep the community protected, as we open up again.

Changes to YPRL services

YPRL branches have reopened with their normal opening hours (except for Diamond Valley Library which remains closed for renovations) and the Diamond Valley and Hurstbridge Hub Click & Collect services have also reopened. Our 24/7 return chutes remain open, however all in person programs and events have been cancelled at this time.

The Mobile Library will be off the road on Monday 21 June but will return to it's regular schedule of stops and times from Tuesday 22 June offering Click & Collect services only.

All branches will have a cap of 75 people (Whittlesea is capped at 30), with spaces inside the library also having density caps.

We ask library visitors to limit themselves to attending the library for no more than 1 hour per day and we will be implementing a 1 hour computer usage limit.

All community rooms will be unavailable at this stage.

We continue offer our full eLibrary collection which includes eBooks, eAudio, and films. You may continue to place holds on the collection in preparation for our reopening.

We will also continue our Care BoxFamily Fun Bundles, and Print & Collect services during this time.

We would also like to flag that all library services will be closed on Monday 14 June for the Queen's Birthday Public Holiday.

Thank you for your patience and understanding.
