Making a Healthy Start

Some may say, the best gift a child can receive is a healthy start to life, including nutritious food and opportunities for regular exercise to build positive habits for a lifetime.

However, knowing the right foods to feed your infant and what exercises to do with them, can be tricky.

Healthy Eating for Life

Yarra Plenty Regional Library (YPRL) and Banyule Maternal and Child Health, in partnership with Banyule Council have collaborated to deliver The INFANT PROGRAM for this exact purpose.

The program aims to help caregivers promote healthy eating and physical activity from the start of a baby's life. The first 1000 days of life are a critical time for establishing behaviours that can have health benefits into adulthood.

Having been reviewed by experts, including Maternal and Child Health Nurses, dietitians and health behaviour specialists, this session is a great opportunity to obtain free information.
