Find Your Budget-life Balance is supported by the Banyule, Nillumbik and Whittlesea councils.

Are you financially stressed?

Get back on the road to recovery — get financially fit!

We want to help our community get back on the road to financial recovery. Yarra Plenty Regional Library will be delivering the Find Your Budget-Life Balance program across Banyule, Nillumbik and Whittlesea during March. The program will offer sessions and workshops covering essential topics such as budgeting, debt relief, saving money, planning, and finance traps. Learn how to budget effectively, where to get emergency assistance, and how to save on energy costs. Get job-seeking advice, find out how to save on food and cooking costs, and discover how to cope with mortgage pressures. There will also be sessions on improving your mental wellbeing, and effective marketing strategies to help your small business. The program is scheduled to run in selected library branches and online from 4 March to 24 March 2021.

A Find Your Budget-life Balance Expo will be held at Mill Park Library on Saturday 20 March. The expo itself will feature guest speakers, demonstrations, mini-workshops, financial talks, stallholders, a free raffle, great money-saving sessions, personal development workshops, careers advice, and mini discussion forums.

Ben McMenamin — sustainable chef, social entrepreneur, and food consultant — will present an online cooking demonstration: Eating sustainably on a Budget. Ben will be cooking online in real-time while talking about cost-effective ways to shop, cook, store, and dispose of food.
