Spine covers of soft cover books

Do you enjoy researching your family history? Family History researchers are often drawn to true crime and biographies in their “down time”.

I recently enjoyed The other side of absence discovering my father’s secrets by Betty O’Neill, 2022 and The Forever Witness [electronic resource] : How DNA and Genealogy Solved a Cold Case Double Murder by Edward Humes, 2022.

In the mood for a lighter read?  With a bit of history and mystery and sometimes a crime and a dash of DNA technology thrown in, these titles fit the bill nicely.

The Forensic Genealogist Series is by UK writer Nathan Dylan Goodwin. Described as a genealogical crime mystery there are now a number in the series featuring Morton Farrier, forensic genealogist.

Steve Robinson is the author of the Jefferson Tayte Genealogical Mysteries.  Start with In the Blood which has a mix of crime and American history thrown in the mix.

Lynne Christensen has just published the first in a promised series Aunt Edwina’s Fabulous Wishes.

M. J.  Lee writes the Jayne Sinclair Genealogical Mysteries.  Individual titles can also be read stand-alone.

Try a search for "Genealogy - Fiction" for more titles in our collection and enjoy your break from your family history research.
