Do you like meeting new people and chatting about your hobbies, all from the comfort of home? Check out our regular digital programs at YPRL!

Book Chat is an online book club with a difference. Come along and chat about books you've enjoyed, what you like to read, and what you're reading now. There is no pressure to read a specific book — this is a welcoming space to talk books with other readers.

Movie Chat is an online discussion group all about movies and tv. Come and chat with us about your favourite movies, the latest series you’ve binged, or that great new show you’ve seen.

Our English Conversation Online sessions are for members who would like to practise conversational English. Come and chat with us! These friendly and informal sessions are a great way to meet new people and practise English with others who are practising too.

Craft Club is for everyone who likes to create. Bring along your knitting, crochet, weaving, whittling, jigsaw, diamond painting, or any crafty project, and we’ll have a good chat while we make together. You can also check out our Maker Space Online program — collect a kit from a branch and we’ll all make the same project together.

Not sure what to read next? Our Book Valet Live sessions are where you can ask our expert librarians for detailed book recommendations in real-time, hear what we’ve recommended to others based on our popular Book Valet service, and see the latest books that have arrived in our collection. We’re keen to hear your recommendations too!

Pomodoro Creative Sessions invite members to come together online for a one-hour creative session facilitated by a YPRL staff member. Whether you’re working on a creative project, a university essay, or need to get through business admin tasks, focusing for an intense but short period of time will motivate you more!

Are you struggling with a new device, a tricky app, or accessing library eResources? Book in a one-on-one Tech Help session and our staff will help you through it.
