Hip, Hip, Hooray!
Diamond Valley Library service is 50!
We’ve been providing library services from Diamond Valley for 50 years, since 1973, and you are invited to come on down and celebrate with us on Saturday 9 December.
Feel free to rock your 70s flares and fashion as you enjoy a fun-filled far-out day enjoying the best the 70s and Yarra Plenty Regional Library can offer. We’ve got fun activities, music, animals, CAKE, and our super 70s best-dressed competition.
The Diamond Valley Library's 50 Years Celebration will be running throughout the day from 10.00am—2.00pm on Saturday 9 December.
- From 10.00am—12.00pm rollup your leg warmers and boogie along to our silent disco – it’s Saturday morning fever!
- At the same time, you can get your face painted, meet some animals at our mini farm, and get your chills multiplying on some cool craft, including tie-dye – groovy.
- We have our celebratory speech and cake at 12.00pm... Did someone say CAKE?
- Followed at 12.30pm by something completely different from the Diamond Creek karaoke group.
- Then at 1.00pm ‘Do you feel lucky?’ - it’s 70’s Trivia.
- Complete your groovy day with some cool tunes from BundyUkes 1.30pm.
