COVID-19 Update: July restrictions extended

YPRL Staff

20 July, 2021

As recently announced by the Victorian Government, restrictions in Victoria will continue for an additional 7 days. For details on the restrictions in place, please visit the Coronavirus Victoria website.

Please wear a mask whenever you leave home, unless a medical exemption applies. Please get tested if you notice any symptoms, no matter how mild. If you visit any of our branches, it is mandatory that you check in using the QR code in place. Follow the rules and instructions provided by the Government, so we can keep the community protected, as we open up again.

Changes to YPRL services

Due to the COVID-19 restrictions currently in place, the Outreach Vehicle and the Diamond Valley Click & Collect service will remain closed at this time. However, all other YPRL branches will be open for Click & Collect and will close slightly earlier than usual, at  7.00pm, Monday – Thursday (except Whittlesea which will close at 5.00pm Monday, Tuesday & Thursday and 7.00pm on Wednesday). Our 24/7 return chutes will remain open, but all programs and events will be cancelled during this time.

The Mobile Library  will offer a static contactless Click & Collect service from 10.00am to 4.00pm at 30 Main Hurstbridge Road, Diamond Creek (at the Community Centre) offering Click & Collect services only.

All community rooms remain unavailable.

We continue offer our full eLibrary collection which includes eBooks, eAudio, and films. You may continue to place holds on the collection in preparation for our reopening.

We will also continue our Care BoxFamily Fun Bundles, and Print & Collect services during this time.

Thank you for your patience and understanding.
