Covid-19 Update

YPRL Staff

27 May, 2021

As of 11.59 PM on Thursday 27 May, Victoria moved into a 7-day circuit-breaker lockdown, which has since been extended for another 7 days. For details on restrictions in place, and for updates, please visit the Coronavirus Victoria website.

Please wear a mask whenever you leave home, and get tested if you notice any symptoms, no matter how mild. If you visit any of our branches, it is mandatory that you check in using the QR code in place. Follow the rules and instructions provided by the Government, so we can keep the community protected, and open up again.

Changes to YPRL services

All YPRL branches will move to Click & Collect services only from Friday 28 May until restrictions ease and regular services can resume. Our 24/7 return chutes will remain open (except at Rosanna Library), but all programs and events will be cancelled during this time.  The Outreach Vehicle, as well as the Diamond Valley Click & Collect service will close for this period.

All holds and item due dates will be extended until after the lockdown ends.

The Eltham Library Click & Collect service is being run by appointment only. Please contact the Eltham team on 03 9439 9266 to make your booking.

The Mobile Library will be running a static Click & Collect service from Monday 7 June until restrictions ease and regular services can resume. This service will be available from Monday to Friday, 10 AM to 4 PM at the Diamond Creek Community Centre (YMCA), 28 Main Hurstbridge Rd, Diamond Creek.

All community rooms will be unavailable throughout the lockdown.

We continue offer our full eLibrary collection which includes eBooks, eAudio, and films. You may continue to place holds on the collection in preparation for our reopening.

We will also be reinstating our Care Box, Family Fun Bundles, and Print & Collect services during this time.

Thank you for your patience and understanding.
