Covid-19 Update: July 15 Snap Lockdown

YPRL Staff

15 July, 2021

As of 11.59 PM on Thursday 15 July, Melbourne moves into a 5-day circuit-breaker lockdown. For details on restrictions in place, and for updates, please visit the Coronavirus Victoria website.

Please wear a mask whenever you leave home, and get tested if you notice any symptoms, no matter how mild. If you visit any of our branches, it is mandatory that you check in using the QR code in place. Follow the rules and instructions provided by the Government, so we can keep the community protected, and open up again.

Changes to YPRL services

All YPRL branches will move to Click & Collect services only from Friday 16 July, with branches opening at 11.00am to allow the service to be set up. Our 24/7 return chutes will remain open, but all programs and events will be cancelled during this time.  The Mobile Library, the Outreach Vehicle, as well as the Diamond Valley Click & Collect service will remain closed at this time.

All holds and item due dates will be extended until after the lockdown ends.

The Eltham Library Click & Collect service is being run by appointment only. Please contact the Eltham team on 03 9439 9266 to make your booking.

All community rooms will be unavailable throughout the lockdown.

We continue offer our full eLibrary collection which includes eBooks, eAudio, and films. You may continue to place holds on the collection in preparation for our reopening.

We will also be reinstating our Care BoxFamily Fun Bundles, and Print & Collect services during this time.

Thank you for your patience and understanding.
