Yarra Plenty Regional Library is a vibrant and inclusive organisation that offers placements to students where they can develop transferable job skills in a Library and Information Services setting.
By completing a placement with YPRL, students have a unique opportunity to get behind-the-scenes and learn about the life of the library.
On a typical day students may be involved in:
- Shelving, weeding, and organising the collection
- Learning about collection procedures and program planning
- Creating library displays
- Attending library events and programs
- Creating library resources
- Assisting customers
- Tech help
