Library Services Update for Hurstbridge and Diamond Creek

YPRL Staff

12 January, 2026

Book lovers have embraced the Click & Collect Library service at Hursbridge Community Hub which has expanded local library services and made it easier to borrow books every weekday from 9.00am–5.00pm.

Library staff also run free Storytime and Tech Help sessions at the Hub and are available for assistance:

Mondays: 9.30am–12.00pm
Wednesdays: 9.30am–11.30am
Fridays: 9.30am–11.30am

While use of the Click & Collect Library service has grown, visits to the Mobile Library in Hurstbridge have declined.

To reflect this change, the Mobile Library will no longer stop in Hurstbridge. Instead, it will visit Diamond Creek more frequently, improving access for residents in that area. In 2026, the Mobile Library will expand its operating hours in Diamond Creek to:

Tuesdays: 5.30pm–7.30pm
Wednesdays: 3.00pm–7.30pm

CEO of Yarra Plenty Regional Library, Nicole Rudden, says library services are always evolving to meet community needs.

“We’re excited to offer extended Mobile Library hours in Diamond Creek while the Hurstbridge community enjoys the convenience of the Click and Collect service at the Community Hub. This ensures everyone in these towns has local access to books, library staff, and learning opportunities. I’m grateful the community values and uses the library services we provide, and I thank them for their support.”
