The next instalment for Yarra Plenty Regional Library’s lending libraries has arrived: The Maker Space Library!
You can now borrow items from Thomastown Library’s Textiles and Craft Maker Space for up to three weeks. Each item comes with instructions, YouTube video links, and reference sections to our collection so that you can borrow books, magazines and items in our eCollection to inspire your new project. Items can be borrowed and returned in person at Thomastown library anytime during opening hours, just ask our staff for assistance.
Items that are ready for borrowing
Large Screen Printing Frame and Squeegee: perfect for printing fabric patterns.
Medium Screen Printing Frame and Squeegee: A3 size frame that is great for medium-sized projects.
Small Screen Printing Frames and Squeegee: each kit is A4 size, great for tee-shirt printing and small projects.
Tool Kits: Beginner tools kits that offers 73 pieces, including a hammer, allen keys, screwdrivers and multiple pieces. Great for home projects!
Embroidery Hoops: We have two sizes – 20cm and 12cm – for you to take home.
Paper-Making Kit: Each paper-making kit has three parts, allowing you make envelopes or letter paper.
Hand Block Printing Press: Borrow our printing press to professionally print your own linocut prints from home.
Sewing Kits: Our sewing kits contain a collection of essential hand sewing equipment. From rotary cutters and fabric scissors to hand sewing needles, pins, measuring tapes and a sewing un-picker.
