The Multicultural Art Festival aims to celebrate multiculturalism by bringing people together to participate in various cultural activities and to learn more about other cultures. Promoting understanding, inclusivity, and connectedness, this festival has something for everyone!

Lalor Library values our multicultural communities and welcomes any opportunity to celebrate the many cultures that make up the City of Whittlesea. Come and join in the fun this weekend at the Multicultural Art Festival!

What's On?
Here are some of the wonderful free activities on offer at Lalor Library:
Saturday 19 March
11.00am – 11.30am Bilingual storytime
10.00am – 12.00pm Multicultural Saucer Painting
You can also view artwork created by local residents and students on the fences between Lalor Living and Learning Centre and Lalor Library.
At the conclusion of the events in the Lalor shopping precinct, why not grab some snacks and head down to the Promisetown Picnic at the TRAC Thomastown outdoor area for more free community fun!
Sunday 20 March
1.30pm – 3.00pm Henna Artist Nimisha
2.00pm – 3.00pm Indigenous storyteller – Sharyn’s Dreamtime Circle
3.00pm – 4.00pm Belly dancing performance and workshop with Aleesha
The festival is a partnership between the Yarra Plenty Regional Library, Lalor Living and Learning Centre, Links Community Garden, Lalor Shopping Centre, Victoria Government and Thomastown Neighbourhood House.
