Service change: The mobile library truck will leave Orchard Road, Doreen at 3.45pm Thursday 9th October. Staff will be available to accept returns until 4.30pm.

We are so excited! Multi-award-winning author Louise Park and award-winning author and narrator Stig Wemyss are coming to Diamond Valley Library!

SATURDAY 23 MARCH at 11.00am

 

This event is an exciting library experience prize from the Big Summer Read. The winners of this prize will be our VIPs for the session including some special goodies and front row seats on the day. Congratulations!

Louise Park

Louise Park writes under the pseudonyms Mac Park and H I Larry and has written bestselling fiction series including Zac Power, Boy vs Beast, D-Bot Squad, Star Girl and Grace’s Escape. Her latest series is Star Girl: Space Cadet Collection

She is also author of adult titles: 7 Steps to Get Your Child Reading and Last Man Out, A Personal Account of the Gallipoli Evacuation, an award-winning title based on her grandfather’s journals of his experiences as the last man out of Anzac Cove, Gallipoli during WW1.

As an author, she spends her days battling beasts, finding those secret doors, portals and hidden tunnels to magical lands, and solving terribly troublesome dramas! The best part about being a children’s book writer is that every day is a new and excitingly grand adventure!

Stig Wemyss

Stig Wemyss is an audiobook narrator for children and young adult books – he has narrated almost 200 Australian books! Authors he has narrated for including Andy Griffiths, Paul Jennings, Tim Winton, Magda Szubanski, Andrew Daddo and Ahn Do.

He has won the ABIA audiobook of the year award three times, including for the widely acclaimed debut novel by Trent Dalton, Boy Swallows Universe.

Stig has written his own successful audiobook series, The Tripp Diaries, which he also narrates. His popularity has led him to develop a one-man comedy show for kids entitled “Stig Live @ The Library” which he performs in schools and libraries around Australia, New Zealand and The United Kingdom.
