COVID-19 Pop-up Vaccination Clinic

YPRL Staff

8 November, 2021

Getting vaccinated helps yourself, your family, and your community, and keeps us all safe.

To help you get vaccinated, we're hosting a pop-up vaccination clinic at the Thomastown Library!

Register your interest with the library by calling us on 03 9464 1864, and one of our friendly staff members can assist you.

Remember that, as per DHS guidelines, to enter the library patrons must be double vaccinated, so this pop-up clinic is a great opportunity for all community members.

Frequently asked questions

Can people get vaccinated locally?

Several community locations such as gyms, cafes, and neighbourhood houses, including Thomastown Library, will host temporary (pop-up) COVID-19 vaccination clinics throughout the coming weeks. This means that anyone in the local community can come forward for their vaccination at the pop-up.

Do I have to book a vaccination?

No booking is required — simply turn up on the day to get vaccinated.

Where is the vaccination clinic?

The pop-up clinic is located at Thomastown Library, Community Room, 52 Main Street Thomastown. It will be operating on Friday 12 November, between 9:30 AM and 12:30 PM.

If I cannot make it to the pop-up clinic, how else can I get vaccinated?

You can still book an appointment at a vaccination centre, doctor’s clinic, pharmacy, or community health service. To book, please visit the vaccine clinic finder on the Australian Government’s health website.

Should a person with an existing vaccination appointment somewhere else cancel it and book at the local area instead?

You can choose to cancel your existing appointment and get vaccinated as part of a local pop-up. Appointments are in high demand. Please cancel your appointment directly with the vaccine provider. This will help another Victorian access their COVID-19 vaccine sooner.

What should I bring to my vaccine appointment?

Please bring the following:

  • Medicare card or individual health care identifier if you have one
  • Proof of age (student ID, driver’s licence, passport, birth certificate or equivalent).
  • Young people can bring a consent form signed by a parent or guardian if the parent or guardian is not attending.

Please wear a fitted face mask, and follow COVIDSafe behaviours while getting vaccinated, such as physical distancing.
