Public Holiday Closure: All branches are closed and the Mobile Library is off the road Friday 3 April - Monday 6 April inclusive. The external return chutes are also closed. 

The Children's Space at Ivanhoe Library is temporarily closed due to building works. The children's collection will remain available on the upper-ground floor. 

Watsonia Library is closed for a planned power outage Wednesday 8 April 9-5pm but will open for the evening 5-8.30pm.

Our wildly successful Connecting with Creatives program is back these school holidays!

Connecting With Creatives - Annabelle Hale, Friday 10 January at Eltham Library, 1.00pm—4.00pm.

Annabelle Hale, Artist in Residence at Eltham Library, is a local children's author and illustrator who loves to draw, dance, and spend time outdoors in nature.  This is a unique opportunity to drop in and meet her, discuss her art, her process, and watch her in action.  She will be at Eltham Library from 1.00pm-4.00pm.  Children must be accompanied by an adult (who are also welcome to participate). 

Connecting With Creatives - Sarah Howell, Friday 17 January at Diamond Valley Library, 10.00am—11.00am and 2.00pm—4.00pm

Sarah Howell is an artist, cartoonist, and co-founder of Squishface Comic Studio.  This is a unique opportunity to drop in and meet her, discuss her art, her process, and watch her in action.  She will be working at Diamond Valley Library from 10.00am—11.00am and 3.00pm-4.00pm.   Children must be accompanied by an adult (who are also welcome to participate). 

Connecting with Creatives - Lucas Li, Tuesday 21 January at Watsonia Library, 11.00am—12.00pm and 3.00pm-4.00pm.

Lucas Li is a Youth Access Worker with Banyule City Council with a background in the film industry and a passion for creative expression through designing games and running RPG sessions.  This is a unique opportunity to drop in and meet him, discuss his art, his process, and watch him in action.  He will be at Watsonia Library from 10.00am—12.00pm and 3.00pm-4.00pm. Children must be accompanied by an adult (who are also welcome to participate). 

Connecting With Creatives - Lisa Foley, Wednesday 22 January at Thomastown Library, 10.00am—11.00am and 12.30pm—3.00pm 

Lisa Foley is the co-author of the brand-new 18,000 Holes in the Universe series. The series follows the GOLF Squad, five adventurous kids who discover the most amazing, incredible, incomparable golf course in the universe! This is a unique opportunity to drop in and meet her, discuss her art, her process, and watch her in action.  She will be working at Thomastown Library from 10.00am—11.00am and 12.30pm-3.00pm.   Children must be accompanied by an adult (who are also welcome to participate).
