Work Experience and Industry Placements are in high demand across Yarra Plenty Regional Library.
Yarra Plenty Regional Library offers work experience placements to secondary students who are in Year 10 and above. Work Experience placements are generally for one week during school term times. YPRL is unable to offer additional work experience and/or volunteer opportunities to any youth under the age of 18 outside of the Year 10 Work Experience program.
YPRL accepts Industry and Professional Placement requests on a case-by-case basis. These placements generally take place over multiple weeks and sometimes months depending on the placement requirements.
Eligibility Requirements for Applicants
- Work Experience applicants must be 18 or older, except for Year 10 Work Experience applicants who must be 15 years or older
- Applicants may be asked to attend an informal interview as part of the selection process
- A placement is not confirmed until the appropriate work experience or community service documentation has been provided to the library by the school, community organisation or tertiary institution.
- Students 18 years or older may be required to provide a satisfactory Working With Children Check (Volunteer) and National Police Check
