The library is a great place to connect with other parents and caregivers.
Bring your child(ren) or the children you are caring for to the library to enjoy story time, crafts, games or just to read and borrow books. This is a great opportunity for your child(ren) to interact with others and make new friends and you may find you meet some great people too.
YPRL has weekly story times for babies, toddlers and pre-school aged children. All of our story time programs are drop-in, so you can come when it suits you. New and old stories will be read, songs will be sung, games will be played, and crafts will be made. Special story times are also held in French, German and Italian. Check the Event Calendar for the times.
Special sessions for new parents are held regularly. Bookaroo is a literacy program for new parents that provides basic literacy information. Sessions last for approximately 45 mins, where parents learn about suitable books to share with baby, new rhymes/songs, and when to read to baby. Check the Event Calendar for upcoming events.
