The Myer Christmas Window

Creating a World in the Window

For decades the Myer Christmas windows have brought light and joy to Melbourne. This year's story, based on Corinne Fenton's children's book Little Dog and the Christmas Wish is set on Christmas Eve in Melbourne 1956 and includes many of Melbourne's most iconic sites such as Flinders Street Station, the Block Arcade, the Hopetoun Tea Rooms and the Skipping Girl Vinegar neon sign in Richmond.

Little Dog and Jonathan are best friends. They do everything together. But on Christmas Eve Little Dog finds himself lost and alone in a busy city. How will he find his way home? Can Christmas wishes come true?

Corinne Fenton is the author of 25 books for children but her passion is picture books about social history. Check out Corinne's blog and don't forget to borrow all her other great books here.
