Coding at the Library

Code Club sounds so cool, adults want to check it out. Sorry folks, this is a kids zone! Parents are bringing their enthusiastic coders to the library and trying to sneak in too!

You can find many levels of coding offered at our different library branches. We cover the basics with Hopscotch and Scratch (ages 8-13), Python (ages 10-18) and HTML & CSS (ages 9-13).

Learn how to create games, animations and interactive stories with a visual programming language or step up and even build your own website.

Anything Coding books up super-fast so make sure you book on our website as soon as you can so you don't miss out.

Here is a search on our website to point you toward your nearest hands-on coding experience. This is the best time for your child (or you) to try something new or even extend your skills.

If you are interested in coding but the location, days or times aren't suitable. Please let us know so we can take this into account in our future planning. We make no guarantees but do want you to be have the opportunity to participate if you are interested.

Write us an email at ypmail@yprl.vic.gov.au we would love to hear from you.

We even have some titles to introduce your children to coding. Check them out here.
