Take a chance!

Are you stuck in a rut with your reading?  I know I am unadventurous when it comes to choosing books to read. But hey, it's never too late to step out and try something new. I've taken to browsing the "Newly Added eBooks" listed in Overdrive.

Before I know it, my iPad finger has tapped away and suddenly I'm reading an author I've never heard of before. It took seconds to download, it hasn't cost me a cent, I didn't drive all the way to the library and if I don't like it, the book doesn't sit on the shelf glaring at me. No, if I don't like it I hit the return/delete button and it's all over. Bye bye book!

If I do like a new author, I can go back to Overdrive and look for more by the same author. I can borrow another one or take a look at Overdrive's "Recommended For You". Books with similar tags to the one I've just read are lined up across the page, begging me to take them. My finger hovers, wanders, hovers again then settles on one and off we go again.

Oh, how exciting life becomes when you discover the joys of ereading !!!
