STEAM Resources: Spheros SPRK+

Spheros are ball-shaped robots that you can control using an app on a phone or tablet. They are lots of fun and suitable for a wide age range because they can be played with in different ways – you can drive them using a simple remote-control function, or control them more precisely using computer code. Like other educational robots, Spheros use a programming language with a graphic interface (similar to Scratch), making the coding intuitive and quick to learn.

YPRL has the Sphero SPRK+, which has a clear casing that is waterproof and shockproof. Not only can you see all the electronic components inside, but you can also use them in places where most other electronics can’t go – in the water, outdoors, or drive them through paint to make amazing art!
