Did you know that Diamond Valley Library has a Garden Maker Space?
Diamond Valley Library’s Garden Maker Space is equipped to facilitate hands-on learning about gardening and food for all ages. The Garden Maker Space is a living extension of the library collection and is available for members of the community to browse and share, get their hands dirty and learn new skills. We also have a seed library!
Food from the garden is available for community members and we have regular monthly food swaps.
On Thursday mornings we have a regular time for people to help us in the garden by pulling out some weeds or planting seedlings and in summer watering the vegetable beds.
If you have a few minutes to spare we are happy for you to drop in any time the library is open and spend some time in the garden pulling out a few weeds which seem to thrive after all the rain we have had lately. It really is therapeutic to get outside and work in the garden!
Did you know that Gardening is good for your mental and physical health? We have some special events coming up that explore this further.
