John by Cynthia Lennon
This memoir is completely gripping and possibly one of the best books written about John Lennon. There are anecdotes aplenty about the bespectacled one sitting at his piano at home and composing songs - amazing stuff! Everything about that man is fascinating and hearing it all from the perspective the woman who was married to him throughout the height of Beatlemania is one of the best things a fan could ask for. And it’s not one of those situations where she wants to spill all his dirty secrets and portray him in a negative light – I got the impression she was being very, very honest and I found it to be a balanced portrayal.
