Explore the many research guides at State Library Victoria. There are 70 guides that cover a wide range of research topics. The guides are not restricted to the library's resources but identify the best resources wherever they are located. The guides focus as much as possible on resources that are available online, either through SLV's digitised collections, online subscriptions (available to any registered Victorian resident) and online resources held by other agencies, including public librraies. The guides promote information literacy, and digital information literacy by identifying resources and placing those resources in the context of research tasks.
There are a wide range of family history and history guides but also guides to a varied range of other topics. Of particular note are the guides created to assist VCE students in a number of units.
