Eltham Library hosted the third annual Women’s History Month event on March 2 with some fantastic authors. As a celebration of International Women’s Day, there were four stimulating sessions, free coffee from the Teapot Café, and lots of networking with supper and a glass of champagne at the end of the day.
Panel topics included: ‘Writing fiction about the other’ and ‘The myths of gender roles in history’.
After lunch the authors shared insightful stories about getting their novels published, and there was a writing exercise for audience members wanting to construct unforgettable and compelling characters.
