Libraries After Dark in October: Talk, Share, Support

Gambling Harm Awareness Week runs from Monday 8–Sunday 14 October 2018, and in support of this Yarra Plenty Regional Library is hosting events at each of our Whittlesea-based branches: Lalor, Mill Park, Thomastown and Whittlesea. These events are collectively known as Libraries After Dark.

In partnership with the Victorian Responsible Gambling Foundation, these branches are open late (until 10.00pm) and will feature live music, a gardening information session on composting and worm farming, fermentation workshops and a board game night to entertain and delight.

These events also provide our community members with an opportunity to talk to, share with and support those who are negatively impacted by the effects of gambling. Plus enjoy a complimentary cup of tea or coffee.

Make a difference by reading more about the The Pokies Play Whittlesea campaign, and sign their petition here.

Libraries After Dark also takes place at Preston Library, Broadmeadows Library, and Glenroy Library.
